Question: What is a good area to live in the LA area?

My husband could possibly be transferred there soon for his job to the Chatsworth area. He has been there a few times, I have not. We have 2 kids, 7 & 11 and we are currently living in a very suburban area – Mission, KS – not far from Overland Park, KS, one of the top places to raise a family. Of course we are looking for low crime, excellent schools, not the most expensive housing, not too far from the beach or site seeing and a good family neighborhood – somewhat similar to what we have here in Kansas. Is is possible?
Wouldn’t have to be close to the beach necessarily, We’ve never been, so Malibu is probably where we would go for a beach day. Mostly interested in GOOD schools, neighborhoods. We might be rentin a town house for the contract period, not buying….

Answer: I live in Montrose CA. It is a very quaint little town at the base of the Angeles Crest Mountains. It is an hour from the beach and an hour from snow skiing. Great schools, great family location. You can totally walk around at night and everything is fine...everyone knows each other. We like to refer to it as Mayberry. Tree and street lamp lined street. Parades, farmers markets, craft fairs and lots to do ! About a 20 minute commute to Chatsworth...check it out. Its known as "the best little secret in L.A." Can't say enough about how adorable it is here.

Question: Where’s the best Chinese food in Kansas City?

Difficulty: Not PF Chang’s, crab rangoon must contain actual crab, and sweet and sour sauce must be better than that ketchup-quality crap you usually get.

Kansas City seems to be a great place for BBQ, but I still can’t seem to find decent Chinese – especially in midtown. Everyone seems to like Bo Ling’s, but I’ve never had very good luck with their takeout, and actually had a couple pretty gross Bo Ling’s meals down in Overland Park – definitely won’t be going back to those two locations…

I’ve also had New Peking (expensive for the relatively low quality you get), Palace Express, Lu Lu’s (very good but doesn’t really count as Chinese), Sheng Chinese, Kin Lin, and a few others and none of them are very good. Any thoughts? It doesn’t have to be “cheap Chinese” as long as it’s Great Chinese as far as I’m concerned.

Answer: Well we've always enjoyed Princess Garden 8906 Wornell. The problem is we (Kansas City) is a BBQ town. And unfortunately other cuisine is laid by the waste side. I wouldn't really consider Princess Garden "Great" but considering the other options...a fairly decent buffet is Mama's Buffet 6000 NE Antioch in KC North.

Bioscience and technology companies maintain its high employment rate here in Colorado. The Colorado State University has beautiful scenery in the middle of the town. A solar energy project will soon be started downtown through a financial grant of the Department of Energy.

In Naperville, Illinois, the downtown area is packed with restaurants, merchandise stores and shopping centers. Mean games such as slip and slides are suitable here in its big front yards. The famous Riverwalk is approximately a two mile brick trail that chases the course of the DuPage River. Its closeness to Chicago is a bonus point though most of the companies offer ample job opportunities within the city. Hennen’s American Public Library rated the city’s public library as the best in America among small cities.

Round Rock, Texas is also one of the top rated cities of US. It has excellent schools, affordable housing, and a computer-producing industry that make it one of the most habitable cities in the nation. Texas State University campus and the three medical centers are the city’s pride. Round Rock is the home of the young league baseball team– Round Rock Express, shopping malls, and beautiful, long lakes. Eight-hundred acres of open area and two golf courses are the residents’ favorite places.

One should also find time to see Overland Park, Kansas. It is close to Kansas City of Missouri. Their housing is very reasonable and there are many job opportunities for the residents. The schools here are one of the best in the country. The city is famous for its Arboretum and Botanical Gardens. The city maintains a nature-friendly environment despite modernization.

Also visit Echo Park just 2 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles with its hilly terrains, making it unique among the neighborhoods. This place possesses a lively mixture of culture, commercial activities, architecture, income and socio-civic endeavor. Its historic architecture, diverse topography, and the citizens’ relentless efforts to protect their historical art community are plus points in maintaining a sense of place and eclecticism of Eco Park. The neighborhood’s most attractive area is the Angelino Heights near the Echo Lake.

i have a stx xcalibur and im having some problems stringing it where could i get it strung thats not online but be able to take it into a shop thats not pricey

Answer: go to website usalacrosse.org. official site of united states lacrosse. you will find every club from novice to masters. 4 year old to eighty plus years old. find a club in your area. there games schedule practices will be listed. every club will have a contact phone number. contact the person in a advanced league. please don't be afraid. it is to your advantage. a player coach or a old guy just standing will string your stick. they will be more than happy to do it for you. major reason custom strung for you only. avoid stores they just slap them together. lacrosse players love to help other lacrosse players. especially youngsters. you will receive many tips. be invited to participate in ball handling drills. etc. plus your stick will be strung for free. if you feel shy about calling just drop into practice session with your stick. the old guys standing. all x players. or have a parent make contact. by having a past present player do your stick, it will be perfect. this is the best way to have it done. if not the website will list shops your area. bad work. non players. will need many adjustments.
